I just wanted to wish everyone a happy, healthy and faithful Christmas and New Year. I'm looking forward to 2009 with a new beginning and fresh start and I'm more excited then ever :)

Be careful whatever you do and enjoy yourself and the time you have with your family.  I will be also thinking of the ones I love that won't see over the holidays but look forward to the time we will meet again.

Btw.....It's about that time :)

It's Not Physically Possible!!!

Do you ever have those weeks where NOTHING works or looks good on you? Exactly! Well this week has definitely been one of them. Which is way I'm so frustrated!  Nothing is working and my body is done with it. I'm 24 and if you only new all the problems I run across with my body I feel like it really, well  I don't feel, it really is not physically possible for me!
Since I have been having that kind of week, lovely me talks myself into, I can train for a half marathon....Hey, half first then a full Marathon.   R-I-G-H-T! I physically can't do it. I'm not out of shape or anything I just can't do it. Where do I start?
1. I have an awful lower back which hurts majority of the time but the next two are the killer.
2. Muscle Compartment Syndrome: Yep for those of you who have no idea what that is, be glad! I have it on both my legs and my ankles will swell up in a certain spot and it hurts like no other. Some days it hurts, and some days its fine, but the days it hurts, yeah 5 minutes on the treadmill at the most!
3. Achilles Tendinitis: On my right foot. Sucks! At first it wasn't bad but now its everyday and some days I walk like a grandma because I can't walk on it.
So my question is, How is it physically possible??!!  I'm 24 I should have any of these problems...Yet!  Nothing is more frustrating when you body has a mind of its own.
So if anyone has any suggestions let me know because I'm all out of them.

Open Letter to Tiesto

So over this passed Labor Day weekend I finally purchased the Tiesto Live in Copenhagen DVD and ever since that's all I have been watching. Amazed by everything he does my question is this to you, Tiesto......If by some miracle he will read this......

HOW DO YOU DO IT??!!
You are a man of dedication, motivation and creativity! I am amazed every time you turn up with something new. You have so many different things going on and how you find the time to get everything accomplished AND still 100% in everything blows my mind.
You are in mist of you residency in Ibiza right now which was Incredible, you are still touring around the world and you still keep up with your podcast every week.
The touring part gets me the most.....You play till what 5, 6, 7am some nights, travel maybe half way across the world just to do it all over again that next night and you still have that huge smile on your face none the less. What is it that keeps you going? It's purely amazing to see that now matter how busy you are, when it comes you doing a "job" you love, it seems never to be work.
So that's that. If you don't hear it enough then Thank You! For all your hard work, trust me it doesn't go unnoticed!

Oh and for those of you who haven't heard any of his stuff...Let me tell you from personal experience.....Once you start, you won't stop. It just keeps going!

Refreshed, Reflective and still Questionable

So I just got back from an experience of a lifetime. Two of my girlfriends and I went and traveled Europe for a month which was Amazing. There are so many different things that you realize after being gone for that long and learn as well. Some are great and sometime coming to realization about some just suck but really in the end I guess it's a good thing.

One thing that you really reevaluate are the friendships that you have. Coming home from something like that you look at the friendships you have and see what is lacking and what "close" friends you have are really just surface relationships. Looking at some of my friendships that I have had for years are really now just a surface friendship. There is really no depth to it other than the small talk that you do because you haven't talked in a while or just have small talk at church. You really don't know what is going on in each others lives. And then you have the deeper relationships that you knew you had with people but you didn't realize how real it is once you step back and reevaluate your life.  It really makes you cherish the friends that you do have and not to worry anymore about trying to deepened a relationship that really isn't there.

Body image.....That's a whole different story, actually inspiring. Fashion is derived from a having a perfect body and here in the States image is everything.....just about. Given I still care about my body and being in shape but it's nice for a change that you know no one is judging you. It's inspiring that everyone has at least a little self confidence and can walk around the beaches with no reservations what so ever and it actually started to rub off. I found myself walking around the beaches with not even thinking if my legs are shaking in some way they shouldn't or if I'm sucking in enough or whatever! It's refreshing for once!

All in all it was an amazing trip which I advise anyone who is thinking of doing it to stop thinking and just do it. You learn so much about yourself and others and it's really inspiring. Anyway, I will leave you with a few pictures from our trip, including the greatest just picture ever!

Inspiration....

So...I decided to start a blog after a certain someone in my life gave me a little inspiration to do so. This person actually was the one who thought it would be a good way for me to get my name and work out there one way or another. So after a few months later, here we go and lets see where this "Ride" ;) will take me.

First off I had the great opportunity to do my internship with D Magazine and actually had the honor to get a few things published. This was kind of a big deal considering this was what I want to do and that they trusted me enough to Style the whole shoot! I was so nervous at first because I wanted it to be perfect and show the editors that I could do it as well as my Mom, the Certain someone and myself.  So here you go my 4 Page Mother of the Bride Gown Shoot!!! By yours and only :)

So thanks for this person in my life who believes in me, my work and pushes me to do my best and believe in myself. I only hope that I keep on and don't disappoint. Thanks again for everything you do. Oh how I love me some Tiesto.....
